Organising group travel has always been a tangled and tedious task. Between the interconnecting flights, multi-destination accommodation and client requests, it’s enough for any internal PA to throw in the towel. Just like others, the Seven West Media Group needed assistance organising 45 guests to Paris last year. So, we thought we would share how our Corporate Travel Agents helped them create an unforgettable overseas conference.
To continue to retain their top spending advertising clients The Seven West Media Group identified a need to create a travel package that aimed to incentivise and reward their top spenders. With an emphasis on luxury, first class experiences and an element of relaxation, Travel and Sports Australia were engaged to craft an end-to-end travel solution. Forming part of the company’s advertising strategy moving forward this travel plan was offered to incentivise local brands such as Aqua Technic Pools, Liquor Barons and Orbit Fitness.
The deliverables of this project required Travel & Sports Australia’s corporate travel agents to research and deliver a yearly travel program that included:
- Business class flights
- 5-star property options
- cultural experiences
- fine dining restaurant reservations
- exclusive golf course access
Execution & Travel
With an emphasis on golf, destinations were selected based on the quality of courses and exclusivity of hotel properties.
The 2015 travel program saw top sellers travel to France in business class and staying at a Leading Hotels of the World property – the Raphael Hotel in Paris. Guests were treated to a 1980 Citroen tour through the backstreets of Paris with a local guide and ended each night with rooftop drinks overlooking the Eiffel Tower at the Terrasse Raphael.
From Paris, guests travelled to Monte Carlo by train in first class cabins and played golf at the exclusive Golf De Monte Carlo.
Finishing the trip in style, guest dined at the iconic Cipriani’s Restaurant – a 3 Michelin Star property, where they were treated to a French inspired degustation with paired wines.
As a result of creating a yearly incentive travel program, the Seven West Media Group has seen a steady increase in client advertising spend across all channels. Not only were company objectives achieved, but all feedback from travelling parties have shown that the trips were certainly a motivator when considering their media spend year-on-year.
