Being chosen to represent Western Australia is a significant achievement and a reflection of your commitment, hard work and the standards you’ve consistently shown both in training and in competition. You now carry not only your own goals but the pride and spirit of WA athletics with you.
At Athletics West, we are proud to play a role in your journey and development. Your selection highlights the support of your coaches and clubs and the dedication you have shown to your sport. It is a privilege for Athletics West to see you represent our state on the national stage.

BRISBANE ITINERARY
We’ll be jetting off to Brisbane on Saturday, 11th April, where we will be staying at The Stamford Plaza Brisbane for 4 nights. This is a rare opportunity to compete at state level in a fun family environment. The 2026 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championship will be one for the history books, with Western Australia hoping to return home victorious! Travel Day
Depart Perth at 06:05am for Brisbane on VA463, arriving at 12:30pm.
Check in to Stamford Plaza Brisbane with lunch provided upon check in.
Team Dinner at the hotel. Get to know your teammates through a fun air hockey & foosball table challenge.
Enjoy a Team Breakfast in The Breakfast Room, followed by a team activity.
Lunch pack to be provided by the hotel.
Track familiarisation and teams welcome 2:30pm to 4pm.
Enjoy a Team Dinner at hotel. Get to know your teammates through a fun air hockey & foosball table challenge.

Opening Ceremony begins at 8:30am & Competition Day One at the State Athletics Facility QSAC, Brisbane.

Competition Day Two at the State Athletics Facility QSAC, Brisbane and Closing Ceremony begins at 4:00pm.

Check out of Stamford Plaza Brisbane at 10am. Lunch pack provided upon departure.
Depart Brisbane at 12:25pm for Perth on VA466, arriving at 4:10pm.

Please contact Athletics West immediately after notification of selection. Preference is participants are flying with the team, but exceptions can be made upon request.
If the athlete’s parents are interested in joining the trip, we unfortunately cannot offer a set package for them. Travel and Sports Australia may be able to help you join the groups travel arrangements, but the use of the team bus and all transfers are exclusively for Athletes and Team Managers.

All flights will depart from the Virgin Domestic Terminal. Departing from Perth this is Terminal 1. Please refer to your flight E-Ticket for the Terminal in your destination city. Check in will be required at each airport, via the Kiosks or the relevant check in counters.
No online check in will be available.

Private return airport transfers are included for the Athletes & Team Managers only on this package. Should you change your airfares to anything other than the group fares or arrange your own airfares, you will forfeit the transfers for those flights.
If you are a parent or guardian traveling, you will not have transfers included unless arranged with Travel & Sports Australia.
