Perth is one of the least expensive cities to live.
The average cost of living in Perth for a student is $275* per week.
This is 72% cheaper than Sydney, 65% cheaper than Melbourne and 61% cheaper than Brisbane.
The Home Affairs website covers in more detail how to work out how much money you might need to cover the costs of your stay in Australia as international student.

Students studying in Perth can work alongside their studies. Visit ProsPER, StudyPerth’s interactive employment resource to help you become more job-ready, network with peers and earn rewards.
Perth has a ‘Regional City Status’. This means students studying in Western Australia could be eligible to stay and work longer in the state than other Australian cities. For more information on student visas visit covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/international-students
