  1. Who do I contact if I need help registering?

Travel and Sports Australia (TASA) is the official travel partner for Western Australian international students.

 

  1. What about travel insurance?

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance prior to departure.

 

  1. I have booked my ticket, can I travel now?

No. Having your flight ticket is not enough to board your flight. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that you have the required documents, including visas, valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity before travelling. Please refer to your airlines policy and also check the latest updates on this official page: COVID-19 coronavirus: International travel (www.wa.gov.au)

 

  1. ACTION REQUIRED: Send us your passport and visa

Once you have made your booking, please email through a copy of your passport and your visa to students@tasa.com.au.

 

  1. ACTION REQUIRED: It is your responsibility to check your visa, passport and entry requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your travelling party have a machine-readable passport, and appropriate visas and documents as mentioned above, in relation to the passport they hold for the entire duration of their trip and that requirements of immigration and other government authorities are met. Any fines, penalties or expenses that are derived from not meeting these requirements with be your responsibility (except to the extent caused by error/fault on our behalf). We are happy to offer guidance for this upon request, service fees will apply.

TASA will continue to do everything in their power to assist clients with their travel requirements in a safe and sensible manner, however it is up to the traveller to also monitor the ever changing and evolving requirements and restrictions for travel. Any cancellation fees or change fees that happen due to COVID will be at the expense of the traveller.

 

  1. Can I book an independent flight before arriving in Singapore?

Singapore-Perth flights are only valid for this sector. You are not permitted to purchase the Singapore Perth flight and then purchase a flight ex another country to connect with the Singapore Perth. All flights ex country of origin must be on one ticket.

Transfers to and from flights operated by other airlines that have not been approved by CAAS are currently not allowed. Please ensure your full journey, including your transit flight to Singapore, is booked on a single itinerary.

 

  1. Do I need to check airline policy?

Yes, you need to check requirements as they are different for each carrier and change frequently. Please ensure you have checked these requirements for your travel arrangements. The airline has the right to refuse boarding to passengers who do not check-in within the required check-in period. We do not hold any liability for failure to board your aircraft.

 

  1. Do I need to wear a face mask while travelling?

In addition to the destination requirements, you should familiarise yourself with airline requirements and passenger safety. At this current time, you are required to wear a mask on ALL domestic within Australia and on international flights. Your face mask needs to cover your mouth and nose and must be worn unless you are under 12 years of age or have a medical condition. When travelling within Australia, you need to wear your mask as soon as you enter the airport and inflight. Make sure you are aware of any government/ country requirements that apply at your destination in relation to face masks, COVID-19 testing and safety requirements

 

  1. Do I need a Covid test prior to departure?

Please discuss testing requirements with your TASA travel agent or seek further advice from your airline.

 

  1. Frequent Flyers and special requests

For more information on whether your airfare is eligible for Frequent Flyer rewards, please contact the airline directly. When booking online, please ensure that you have entered your correct number. For bookings made by telephone via our Customer Service Team, please advise of your Frequent Flyer details and these will be added to your reservation. We do not take any responsibility should an airline not register your trip. You should retain copies of your air ticket and boarding pass.

 

  1. What if I need to change my ticket?

If you need to make changed to your ticket, please email info@tasa.com.au or call (+61)8 9381 9555.

 

  1. Do flights costs include a return ticket?

No. Flight costs are for one-way travel from the specific departure point to Perth, Australia only. Unless you have manually selected return flight option.

 

  1. Can I travel on the same flight as my friend?

Yes, this is possible if your friend book the same Group Flight as you if they are a student.

 

  1. Can I request a specific seat?

Seat requests can be made at the airport when you check in for your flight.

 

  1. Who do I call if I need help?

  1. Can I bring a family member/partner with me?

Family members/partners can travel to Australia if organised separately.  Our flights have been arranged for students only. Please note, it is the responsibility of the traveller to ensure they have correct visa and entry requirements to Australia.

 

  1. What happens if I miss my flight?

If you have a booking for flights but you do not show up to check-in or otherwise do not avail yourself, you will not be entitled to any refund from us.

 

  1. What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled?

If your flight is delayed on your day of departure you will be notified by the airline and a new departure time will be advised. Please make sure to listen to announcement and speak to airline staff at the airport for information on your delay.

 

  1. What are the Cancellation Conditions?

If you amend or cancel your flight(s), TASA reserve the right to charge the cancellation and amendment fees as per the Schedule of Professional Service Fees.

All cancellations must be made in writing and will not be effective until Travel & Sports Australia (TASA) receive this written notification. You will receive a cancellation invoice /letter from us acknowledging your receipt of cancellation.

The airlines may charge cancellation and amendment fees in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed between you and the Provider. These will be in addition to the fees charged by us. We are not liable for any cancellation fees or refusals to refund made by the Provider.

 

  1. What advantages do I get by booking my flights on this portal?

Booking through this portal means you are booking with an official travel partner for Western Australian international students.

By booking through our portal, you’ll get 10kg extra luggage plus a student fare with Qatar Airways and you’ll access a student fare if you are flying with Singapore Airlines flights.
