with Travel & Sports Australia

For your peace of mind

You’ll find below some travel tips that we think are the most essential, so you can relax and enjoy your trip worry-free.

Visa

For our TASA customers going to an international trip soon:

If you haven’t already scanned a copy of your passport to your TASA travel consultant, can you please do this as it is required to have your Visa on Arrival organised.

If you have already applied and organised your own Visa – please let your travel consultant knows so that we can ensure this is not duplicated. We will still require a copy of your passport as well as a copy of you Visa so that we can arrange the airport fast tracking on arrival.

Travel Insurance

Travel & Sports Australia supports the Australian Government’s mantra, “if you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel”.
You hope your trip will go perfectly. So do we. But if something goes wrong, you should have a travel insurance that takes care of you. You can easily check and compare our two preferred travel insurances. The few next minutes can save you a lot. Don’t wait anymore and get your travel cover today.

Register with Smart Traveller

The Australian Government encourages every traveller departing Australia to register with www.smarttraveller.gov.au so please log onto this website as it will help DFAT contact you in the event of an emergency.

Contact your financial institution

It is important that you advise your bank when travelling overseas. The will be keeping an eye on any suspicious activity on your accounts and if they see that your cards are being used overseas and you have not advised them, they may cancel your cards which would leave you with no/limited funds so it is very important you take the time to contact them and advise them on where you are travelling.

Contact your mobile phone company

If you will be using your phone overseas, please ensure that International roaming is activated on your phone. You can do this by contacting your phone company. Please be aware that it is not cheap to use your mobile phone overseas so it is important that you are aware of all your phone/data charges before leaving the country. This can help ensure you don’t have any nasty surprises on your bill when you return.

Travel documents

You will be receiving your travel documents in the next few weeks. It is advisable that you leave a copy of your itinerary and a copy of your passport with a family member, should they need to get hold of you in an emergency or just in case your passport is lost or stolen overseas, this can help with an emergency passport being issued.

Bon Voyage !
