Much like the West Coast Eagles after their inception in 1987, it didn't take long for the Power from Port to taste success in the Australian Football League. Both clubs have been in or around the finals in nearly every year they have been in the competition and as a result the two clubs have staged some epic battles over the years.
There have been a number of players over the years also - Downsborough, Lyle, Schofield, Cummings to name a few - that have switched camps, which has only added to the spice in these encounters.
